I've met some cool people here I can now officially call best online friends. This is not to say many others (possibly all of you) are not nice-quite the opposite. This is a great forum and we need to maintain its friendliness. :woowoo:

best friends are as follows:

Brigid
Federica
ZM
BF
Esau
BSF
and JerBear
and Brian.

Thanks to you all, you have inspired me and continue to do so:bowdown:

regards,
Xrayman

Oh and how could i forget, the inimitable.......BRIAN!

and I did actually mean to put you there. NO BS!

There is actually another good point that I failed to mention, I have no real (Don't get to visit often-Tibetan buddhist society.org, my usual real temple) Sangha-so this is the perfect solution to that dilemma.

    regards.

    I agree, Xray.

The Dharma would never have blossomed in me the way it has if it weren't for all of you. I have found tremendous support on this Path from some very special people here. Like you, Xray. You have a huge golden heart beating in your chest and I'm so glad you have been blessed with a wonderful family on whom to bestow your love. I'm also grateful and honoured that you call me friend.

I've only been hanging out here for two months and already I feel a strong bond with all of you. I don't know where else on earth I would ever find the opportunity to talk to so many Buddhists (and non Buddhists) from so many different traditions and parts of the world. I think we are enjoying a completely unique opportunity and I'm grateful for it every single day.

With all my love to my sangha,

    Brigid

LOL, Xray! You're a card! You should be dealt with...(groan).

I'd love to invite you to Canada but my attorney says I need sworn affidavits from your planet's leaders.

But seriously, I have a long and proud history of welcoming Australians to Canada for their walkabouts. My friends and I have had many stay with us over the years (good accommodation can be a little expensive). And I'd love to meet you and your family!!

    Maybe one day...:)

    Cool brigid!

I'm on the plane right now! see you there. I'm looking at around six weeks-just enough to get a working visa, then I'll try for residency and then...

to all of you reading this i'll be away for the next six weeks until Brigid sets my room up with broadband internet access and a computer-see you then!

    woohoo :canflag:

AWWW! How sweet, Infanta! (Oh, no! I forget your real name. Is it Eric?) I'm truly flattered. If you ever need a soft place to fall, you know where I am.

    Xray,
LMAO!! No broadband, my friend. Sorry. We live out in the middle of nowhere and there hasn't been a single cable laid yet. If you have a lot of cash we could set you up with satellite, but I use sloooooww dial up, 28kbs.

We're going into town tomorrow. What do you eat? Aside from Buffalo wings and ribs, I mean. And are you bringing the family? There's plenty of room!!

    With love,
    Brigid

By the way, No I'm not a stalker, my therapist says it's just an illusion-the medication that I (should) be taking will "balance" out my obsessive tendencies.

So all is okay! I'll see you in just a few hours Brigid.

Oh! umm can we go to Hooters for Buffalo Wings? hey, hey, can we hey?

I'd like to join you, but I don't think they have very many vegan items to choose from. And, speaking of Hooters, we have one by us, and my husband discovered that they were playing a figt he wanted to see. So instead of paying for it on PayPerView, he went there last weekend, and apparently, the girls at our Hooters are very, ummmm...interesting! So was the clientele!

I've never seen a Hooters in Canada. I don't think we have them, but I could be wrong.

And the answer is "no", Xray. I'm not going anyplace where the servers are going to make me feel guilty for eating bad, fried food.

Plus, I think Hooters is illegal in Canada. But it's legal for any woman in my province to go topless anywhere men can. The former statement, untrue. The latter, true.

FYI, Brigid...Hooters is not a topless place. Just really skimpy clothes.
