Birds, trees, wind

As I'm wandering around in my everyday life I'm more and more aware of birds, trees, and wind:

Birds fly, eat, and do their "business," rain or shine.

Trees grow, rain or shine.

Wind blows. Sometimes it's gusty. Other times it's gentle.

I'm reminded of Luke 12:24:
Consider the ravens. They neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them.

Nature: one of the truely great teachers of the Dharma.
    Trees grow, rain or shine

I'm reminded of Brian from Monty Python's Life of Brian:

    Brian: Consider the birds...

    Crowd: Wot about the birds?

Brian: Have the birds got jobs?

Crowd: Have the BIRDS GOT JOBS!?

    Passerby: Wot's wrong with him?

Crowd: Says the birds are scrounging!

Brian: Yes, well they do alright don't they?

Crowd: Yes. well, good luck to them. Yes they're very pretty!

Brian: And you're much more important then thay are so what have you got to worry about? See?

Crowd: I wanna know what you've got against birds!

Brian: Okay - consider the lilly!

Crowd: Oh he's having a go at the flowers now!
