I Love This

It is something I read in the scriptures a while ago, I will translate it as best that I remember it but it will not be word for word.

The buddha was staying in a town in India, sitting under a tree meditating. A man who he knew of was angry with the holy one (I forget why now), but the man came over and say next to him. He started to insult the holy one and get rather angry.

The buddha said, 'sir, do you ever have friends who come and visit you at your dwelling?'

The man replied, 'yes I have them visit sometimes.'

The buddha went on to say, 'and when they come to visit do you offer them food?'

'yes, I often offer them food' replied the man.

'and when they do not wish to eat your food what do you do with your food?'

'well I keep it because it is mine.'

The buddha replied, 'ah, the same is with your insults sir. They are yours to keep, yours.'
