Tattoo idea.

edited December 2011 in General Banter
Hi guys, it's been a long time, hope all is good.
So recently, I've decided to get another tattoo. Let us know what you think: http://www.koru-tattoo.com/2010/09/buddhist-tattoo-design-on-sole-of-foot.html

I really like it, it's different.(I like different)
The only concern is, I'm afraid that some(ignorant people) might get offended. Oh and of course the excruciating pain! :P

Kind regards, JL.

*I hope you all have a great crimbo!* :)

  • Why would one put sacred religious symbols on the bottoms of one's feet to walk through the dirt and mud? I do not understand why.

Hang on....have you had it done, or is it your intention to do it? (In other words, is that you in the picture, or someone else you're thinking of copying....?)
the sole of the foot is extremely sensitive; consider how ticklish some people are. And you won't be able to walk for at least 5 days.... I'm serious....

I liked the design, but totally understand your point. However.. It's possible he choose to have the design on his foot, because of the Swastika? - who knows.

The guy in the picture(Ryan) is just a random fella i came across on Google Images.
I never really had any real intention of fulfilling it. The pain I'd have to endure, and high risk of my foot getting infected; isn't worth the hassle.

Besides, i would've made slight changes to it, so i guess it's not entirely 'copying' him.

No, he makes it quite clear that the swastika symbol is one to be respected, not reviled.
which yes, makes his placing of the symbol, even more odd.

  • Who knows buddy. It is odd, I'll give you that. Thanks for the input nonetheless :)
  • I would never, but that's how I feel towards any tats... that does look cool though. I couldn't imagine the pain involved, especially the arch area.
