I was thinking like mindful or otherwise hobby or activity. I was starting to run again and then got sick, maybe I can get back to it this week. I also have been finishing one last crochet project. i did some for Christmas and I am doing one twirly scarf for my mom's Birthday in march. I have also planned to cook dinner most nights this week which is very good and relaxing for me.

My mom is sick so I am picking up some slack around the house. Vacuumed the rugs had to move all the stuff off. Swept. Dishes duty and kitchen. She is not hungry so I don't have to cook! Just picked up some soup and pop, good things when sick. She is doing ok listening to the Kelly musical family on youtube. I've been meditating more and figuring out transcribing software and how to manage the materials team transcribing my lamas talk... Which just when I am more able to handle something like that it was offered to me kinda remarkable.

For leisure I have pleasure of coffee and a smoke and look outside which is beautiful winter snow and cold. I was in florida for 8 years late 20s and now when I smoke in the northern cold it reminds me of my early 20s in school with friends and wild young romps bumming smokes with friends outdoors. So old times and ages coming back to me and a beautiful cold winter.

Oh and I'm being an idiot which I mentioned in another thread I left the gate open last night and I was lucky the dog is good and didn't run into the street in the morning :(
  • I'm sick too...

  • D I T T O, everyone is getting sick, hope you all get better and also your mother Jeffrey. AHeerdt you have to upload a photo of the scarf when it is finished!

I find myself doing anything that makes not think about be sick at the moment, so that could be yoga, designing things for no reason at all, designing things for a reason, hulahoop, cleaning, playing online snooker, looking after my babies AKA my plants and of course sleeping. My bad has become a very strong magnet recently, I find myself dreaming, waking up and wanting to get out of bed knowing it has been too long, but end up falling back on the pillow again :p

I'm not sick (that was me 2 weeks ago), but my cat still is. :( Received the results of his urine test the other day. It wasn't good (red blood cells were present), but it's too soon to tell if it's actually bad or not (need to do another test in a week to see if he's on the mend or still sick). I'm hopeful because he still acts like nothings wrong with him and the original behavior issues have ceased now that he's been on antibiotics for a few days.

Other than that: still plugging away at the novel (someday I'll finish, I'm sure of it), just started a new comic book project with a friend, fable 3, still working on zelda and the skyward sword, and lots of reading like always.
  • @zombiegirl I read about your cat, sorry to hear that. I know what it is like waiting on tests so I hope they are a releif in the end :) Your new comix book project, is that based around the game fable by any chance? I only have a few books here at present which I have read to death, my mum sent a package over xmas which has not arrived and doubt it will, that had the picture of dorian grey in it which I left at home and wanted to re-read.

@ThailandTom it's not quite the same as the real book in your hands, but, you can read The Picture of Dorian Gray online. Anything written before 1923 is public domain.

No, it's not based on Fable (I've just been playing it a lot, lol)... we actually have a plot hashed out but for the moment my artist is taking some time to hone her style with some short stories. In the past, I've always done the art for my works, but I'm just feeling a little burnt out by drawing, so I'm mostly the brains now (well, half the brains, anyways, lol).

Thanks for the well wishes for my cat. Only time will tell...
  • Thanks for the link, the book had a degree of sentimental value as it was a present from an ex which offered a profound relationship, but it is now lost in the post somewhere :/ owel, I guess it is gone and that is all there is to it. Good luck with the projects :D
  • Fantasizing about my future life as a nurse and how i'm going to get there with no resources. Lol.

Sorry about the cat zombie, my cat is 6 and I love her so much. I wish they would just complain when they're sick...they hide it well.

I have them, the brand if ice cream that I get does not actually bother me. Not sure why but most grocery store ice cream doesn't bother me.
