Good evening everybody. As you can tell, I'm kind of new here. I'm not going to bore anybody with a life history or anything, at least right now, just a quick intro so if I comment on something, I've at least made a lil introduction. I live in Ohio and am looking forward to this new chapter I'm my life.

  • Welcome! You'll find lots of great people here. :)
  • Thank you!
  • Welcome!
  • Yay! Fresh blood!

Lol...we love stories, they enrich our little lives so don't be shy or feel put out. We all use this space to vent, cry, ask, wonder, discuss, practice...um, among many things.

With an attitude of acceptance and loving kindness.

    Welcome friend!

    Hello :)
  • Hi, franz. Hi NikkiGemGirl. Welcome, to you both.
  • Welcome! I live in Ohio too (Sandusky, on Lake Erie).
Very nice. I'm about 45 minutes West of Toledo. Gotta like this mild winter!
Anyway, thank you all so much for the nice welcome. It made joining here a bit less intimidating. My story is probably fairly rote. I've been struggling with Christianity for the better part of a decade now, but something just did not click with me. When I was in High School, I remember having a background interest in Buddhism and even picked up a few books back in the day, but as life wore on, I more or less just went with the flow, or, in reality dropped thinking about this type of thing all together. I always tried to live a "good" life, treat others well, etc..., but there was no real purpose to it. It was just me. I recently became interested again in (for lack of better wording) the "meaning of life" type thinking and re-visited Buddhist information. I have to admit, I feel a little bit overwhelmed right now. With the reading I've been doing and information I've been absorbing, I feel like I've been fully awakened (re-born seemed like a stretch! haha)
Well, there is my official reason for dropping in here. I have a ton to learn.....
