Hey guys  I was not long ago giving my partner a foot massage and I came across something which I would like to put out there on the NB board. No, I did not come across a wart or varooka!
Anyway, seeing as most of the time she ends up with her eyes closed or fully asleep, I decided to shut my eyes whilst giving the massage. I felt as if I could feel my way around her foot and areas of tension etc slightly better. I then started to meditate in a way, I focused mentally on what I was doing as if I was focusing on the act of breathing. I then went on to a kind of notion of metta where with each stroke and applied pressure, I would concentrate on it being given as an act of compassion and wanting it to help who I was giving it to. Is this beneficial in any way to my buddhist path and a kind of meditation?

You probably would benefit from yoga or an (active) form of meditation. I'm not sure.
Anyway, good job. Did you feel better? I bet the massage had a better quality, you should ask her? But don't be disappointed if she didn't feel a difference...the experience is for you.
