I had this dream couple years ago.
This dreams lasted only a few seconds. It goes like this. I gently stretched out my hand and a bird landed softly on my index finger. -The end.
I woke up in the morning, didn't think about it. I went to work. I unlocked the door and turned on the light to prepare the teashop for a new day. Stepping into the shop, I noticed something was flying. It's a bird! It was trapped. I was stunned. I just dreamed one last night. It's scared of me unlike the one in the dream. I tried to lead it to the entrance. After many struggles, it finally found the way out.
I theorized that the sub-consciousness mind of the bird is seeking help during my sleep. It knew I work in that teashop. During the day, its waken consciousness is still like the natural bird that it's scared of humans. Thus the panic when it saw me.

What a beautiful experience. I am not a bird person, usually. I don't give this any meaning other than what it was. Trust and compassion.
Human can gain the trust from wild animals by feeding them.
However If an animal trust a stranger human being, it indicates this person is indeed practicing compassion.
The best dream I had was flying up to the clouds. That's after reading a sutra with concentrated mind and dedicated the merit to my father that night. It's not something to be proud about. It's just a sign that I was in a good state.
I dreamed being bitten by snakes and seeking help from doctors.
I dreamed there's a big hole on my foot and seeking help from doctors.
I dreamed I and my father were driving in the mountains tops. We have a GPS so we can go to safe places without falling of the cliff.
Recurring dreams during my first contact with Buddhism: Nasty bugs coming out of my body.
You don't get it...I nap for 20 minutes and I'm in dark city...I dream allllll all the time!
It sucks! My hubby says that it's because I get regular sleep and have a carefree mind.
The day a blacked out at the doctor's office while drawing blood...that was great...sweet darkness, no thought, no dreams.
I know this has nothing to do with the dream connection, but your story just reminded me of the awesome event that stuck with me.
