Hey,
Just curious as to what everyone does for work in their lives.
I'll start...
I do network administration/computer programming for a school district in Flagler County Florida.
I used to work closely with the teachers, but now I am creating websites/applications for the Administration staff and creating other stuff to make stuff easier.
It's quite rewarding, and also, I get to work with my friends, we have a great time and all really enjoy working with each other.

I have changed my job from general dosser and street vagrant to chief buyer and manging controller of finances for ICI....... just to see whether i like it......
(See thread Fede linked to)
have you seen the shirt on thinkgeek.org that says:
"I read your e-mail"
that one is great. there is another one that i MUST buy. it says:
"No, I will not fix your computer"
I need to have that one on 24/7
I think my friends imagine me spending my whole day reading everyone elses emails and reporting them to HR for email abuse. I do far more than that but admittedly that is the highlight of my day !!
BWAH HA HA HA (that's my evil techie laugh!)
especially when the users think that without a doubt that noone reads it
I like watching where they are going on the web more. People go to some pretty questionable websites...even for a school district!!!
Of course, as admins, we're completely unfettered with regards our access
Being a geek has it's advantages !
::
Another one:
"My other computer is your Windows box".
::
I always liked the one that says:
"Theres no place like 127.0.0.1"
I'll have to remember that one!
On another forum I belong to a girl was asking for suggestions on what to call her new cat.
One of the guys said "Call it 5"
I was the only one that thought it was funny!!
For all those non-geeks out there, Cat 5 is a type of cable commonly used in IT.
yeh.
Thanks for that.........
No, really,
Thanks.
Ah yah know Frizz, I loves ya really!!
