I just have a very limited social circle today with half the people in the US getting the day off and the other half working(not to mention waiting on ex to correct a bad check, until then all funds are frozen). Which has nothing to do with nothing, but I am kinda proud of myself.

I balanced 2 months of my checkbook and without printing a single piece of paper. I pulled up the statement and my checkbook program in smaller windows and balanced it.

This is also a huge step in the recovery from my foreclosure. Just tracking things, being brutally frugal so I pay everything on time and improve my credit. I will tell you I have a (non attached) dream of buying a little house someday in downtown Denver, painting the inside anyway I want and planting a huge garden.

I can knit and finish my Stephen King book now,

  • I like these holidays when there's hardly any traffic out, and things seem more peaceful.

    Cool dream. : )

I admire your brutal fiscal discipline!
  • Thanks, I just had ex come over and give me part cash and part check. Whew. He chatted for awhile too, his mom just passing seems to make him nicer. He is still pretty negative about the kids, discouraged really. I don't blame him but then I put a positive thought in my head to encourage the best and do a tiny metta.

The ninja budget is easier when you have a goal. Still this month had late bills, try again in March!
