I'll tell you, if ever i want to remind myself how wonderful it is to be alive, and it's worth appreciating the small and insignificant moments, as well as the major important ones - i just think of the people in the World Trade Centre, 11th september, in the floors above the plane crashes.....
Who would ever have thought, as they hurried to work that morning, that going home that evening, would not be a happening thing?
  • That is a given, they did not know what was going to happen and it was traggic. But it does not compare nearly as tragic as the total number of innocent lives lost in Iraq due to foreign armed forces being there.

Anyway, I was also trying to illustrate that if that guy in the video was not paying attention enough, he would have been rammed. If it was somebody mindlessly blabbing away on their phone, fiddling with their ipod or zoned out then maybe it would have been different.
  • Talk about lucky... phew!

What was the person in the white car, thinking - ?!?

The word "Mindfulness" springs to mind!
  • Very close call!
  • mindfullness, in driving I appreciate it. I drive through downtown every day, there are people who just walk in front of your car, some seem fine and others are part of the transient homeless population. I wouldn't want to hit anyone even if they were not okay and walked in front of me.

Had at least 2 close calls this week (sorry can't see the video as always)
