Not even remotely a serious contender. The world is full of crazies. He's just one that happens to know how to run for office.

Funny you say that. I was browsing Skeptics Magazine Forum and came to a section called "Denial of Holocaust." Pretty interesting stuff. If you like, I can post a link.
Let me know. Thanks for viewing and commenting:) And I agree! This world is amazing!

Hitler never existed. He is a mythical character. He was created by the American government to boost empathy for Jews so the public would support the American/Israel alliance. The American and Israeli government wanted the alliance so that they could go to war with Middle Eastern countries and eventually bring the start of Armageddon. The killed Jews were actually mannequins.

    lol

    Definitely not welcoming!
  • It creates a pit of despair inside me to know that a person like that even exists let alone is a candidate for a political office......

For a note of hope: it's distressing that there's actually an audience for this kind of thing, but on the other hand, what's encouraging is that people now organize protests whenever Neo-Nazis stage a march or a gathering. That didn't use to happen.

That is a very encouraging sign indeed. The are many little scenarios like this which are taking place around the world more recently which suggest we are coming together as species more and being less divided. Yet of course we have a long way to go, but it is essential on our survivial longterm.
  • I'm no fan of the Republican party, but this dude definitely is not representative of them. Most Republicans, in fact, tend to staunchly support Israel. (Of course most Democrats do as well.)

there has never been a Neo-Nazi march or gathering. That's part of the conspiracy.

  • Curiously enough, anti-semitism used to be a staple of reactionaries, while today's conservative consensus is almost universally pro-Israel. Very bizarre that the guy is running as a Republican in that case. Most liberals tend to support Israel as well, though some on the hard Left are quite opposed.

It should be noted that most of those "quite opposed" are only opposed to the actions of the state of Israel and harbor no animosity towards the Jewish people themselves.

The conservative support of Israel has nothing to do with accepting Jewish people, and everything to do with wanting Jewish extremists to rebuild the temple mount then perish in an evangelical end-time orgasm.

Of course the Holocaust happened as to how many people died we cannot be sure, But certainly it was a great waste of precious human life.

Haha. What? I hear this all the time, and I have never met a single person in my Zionist meetings that believes this. Israel-backers like me support the Jewish state because it is a bulwark of liberalism, sanity, decency, and gender/gay equality in a wasteland of oppression and theocracy.

    No doubt....

What In tarnation are you doing at Zionist meetings...?. I'm asking this as a Jewish-ish (half jewish) guy suckled on every detail of the Shoa , and the history of Israel both positive and gawd awful... Are you Jewish? Whats with the poking your nose? Reflexive non-jewish, American Zionism isn't necessarily befriending Jewish people. It's its own agenda. What do you say to non-Zionist Jews? ..are they antiliberal and antidemocratic... you little tank geek. ;)

BTW.. I'm being deliberately provocative... I don't really care what meetings you attend. But, there are many Jewish people , not "friends of mine who are Jews".. but actual Jews, who are not gung ho about Israeli policy, while at the same time experiencing heartbreak over it.

The "Zionist meetings" were meant to be a bit tongue in cheek. But I've befriended a local pro-Israel Jewish group affiliated with campus, and have written papers and articles at school in support of Israel.

You are correct; I've not a drop of Jewish blood, but I'm an American Zionist. It's not an "agenda of its own," I just prefer a liberal democracy over thug regimes. And yes, liberals, Jews, or anyone for that matter who favor Hamas and like minded groups (noted anti-women, executing gays, crushing political dissent, torture) over Israel (freedom of press, gender equality, gays in the military) is very anti-liberal and anti-democratic.

Israel is the most humane country that part of the world has ever known. I would love to see one that has been kinder in the Middle East and compare human rights records.

Israel is a complicated one for me. I can't (sorry to be a broken record) find a black and white view, can't find a devil to pin things on..... the chain of pain truly has no beginning. But proximate devils abound ..... the hard core Islamists. The vulgar anti-Semitism (blood libel etc.) common in surrounding countries. The indulging of Jewish settlers and hardcore nationalists who are every bit as willing to kill and dehumanize the other as the the hardcore Islamists. Talk of being a bulwark for progressivism is thin when you have your boot on the heads of people who's only sin is being born at the wrong time in the wrong place. I'm Jewish enough to say that without getting lynched ...eh.

Anyway... I feel badly for all the people, Israeli and Arab, for the deadly warp-field they have co-created to live in. Metta for all.

....and metta for you to knight :).

Most politicians staunchly support anybody they think can get them reelected. That's transmogrified in this country into the idea that the Jewish vote makes or breaks politics, and thus you have to show unflinching support for anything related to Israel in order to be elected or reelected. Yet another example of how far down the rabbit hole we are.

Many Chinese refuse to believe the Tibetan Holocaust is real, too. But thankfully, I believe that is slowly changing.

I am shocked and appalled...that people continue to take people like this seriously.

I have to admit though, I kinda laughed at "family friendly Neo-Nazi gatherings".
