    Could you explain this? I wasn't aware that Peking Man had been debunked. My understanding, which may be out of date by now, was that Peking Man and Java Man were examples of Homo Erectus in Asia, that may represent a different branch of the human tree than the earliest exodus from Africa. Whether they represent an even earlier exodus from Africa, or some sort of home-grown strain of Erectus is the debatable part. The plot has thickened considerably, now that they've found a very early example of Erectus in (former Soviet) Georgia, and the Denisovans in Siberia. There are no answers that I'm aware of, only a growing list of questions. If you have other information about Peking Man, by all means, share.
