and I am in my pajamas. Yup, and I skipped going to one school today for a family night. I had been at 3 schools today and spent time in the office. I even ignored a phone call on my work cell from someone I was pretty sure was fine (I have been teaching her the job for 2 months so I am more than ready to let goooo). I am finally glad I do not have one of my former schools, it is more of a wreck than even I predicted.

There is a teacher job fair that I am attending tomorrow and check in starts at 630 am. No kidding! I was thinking I would get there between 730 and 8. I doubt an hour will cost me a job and I already have a job but still want to teach.

In any case I really really love my comfy bed right now and am just counting time until I can get into it so it is not too early and I will wake up in the middle of the night.

It's a teaching job fair. :hrm:

I hate it when people make comments like that to me. I pride myself on my professionalism.
  • It was a joke, sorry. It's stressful getting a job...just wanted to make her laugh.woops
  • Much metta sent to you @AMH. Sometimes we need to just curl up in bed in pajamas and restore, rest, renkindle.
  • Well considering the conversation I had with a friend last night, about the boobage, I am more focused on not showing them off. We had a conversation about how hard it is to get clothes to fit without busting the buttons, but that has nothing to do with teaching, just a moment.
  • Ok I went. Really glad I didn't go for the 630 am checkin because when i got there at 8 am they just were letting people in to the tables for the districts. Most districts were only planning a 'meet and greet' style with little or no interviews, I knew that before I went. They simply don'thave many jobs.

I talked to 2 districts and several people in line. That was valuable, and now I just need to get onto the application process this weekend. My one question that was answered was about endorsement for ELL students (they change the initials every couple of years). I have always worked in language diverse schools but I do not have the endorsement. So I learned to put that experience down and many districts will say you need the endorsement by the end of 2 years. Also heard about more language diversity than just Spanish which is very helpful. I speak French and can work with ESL students and adults, but I am cautious to add any course of study to my plan until there are better options for teaching.

Okay after that i was still so tired after my week (3 hours of playground yesterday alone) so I came home and slept again. If nothing else I got inspired to keep up the work ;)
