more paperless!

So I just had my windshield replaced, getting EVERYTHING done over spring break that I possibly can. And I was waiting for the metal clipboard thing with papers to sign and all that when I realize it is all going to be on his phone. The tech had a cool phone and it took my debit card, I signed on it, and then he emailed me the receipt. I never print the receipts, just save them in a file, so look no paper at all!

I am really thinking that when I am due for an upgrade about getting a phone that does more than text and call. I miss my old Palm Pilot where I stored everything, birthdays, addresses and directions to all the schools I subbed at, phone numbers of rarely called numbers but it didn't take up anymore space. I have until next January to think.,

You could also get an iPod touch - it pretty much has all the features of an iPhone, but without the phoning capabilities (although you can use the wifi to use skype or similar apps to call).

I think with the popularity of tablet computers, the smartphone will be phased out and we'll go back to using more basic phones + a tablet for multimedia/internet usage. It would make the battery life of phones much better than they are now, and then people can actually read stuff on the tablet instead of having to hold their phones right up to their faces.
  • That makes sense, and solves my issue of not wanting everything on the phone so I can use the phone and see my calendar. I KNOW people say you can do both but Idon't like it.

I have a little ACER computer that does most everything the iPod/tablet things do that I care about but I have to be in wifi range of someplace.
