science vs. buddha

edited September 2004 in Buddhism Basics
I dont mean this topic to be inflammatory in any way :)

I have just finished 2 books - which i read awhile ago but never took seriously ...

a - The Tao of Physics
b - Einstein & Buddha

both offered a very unique insight into what might be called "modern day" buddhism ... that is:

what has been said before can be mirrored ... in any time and at any place

there are aspects (~50%) of these books that i took with a grain of salt however ... anyone else read them at all ... what are the general opinions ?????

Can you give me some examples of things that you had issues with or questions about? I haven't read either of those books, but I am fascinated by the topic. I've spoken with Achahn Chuen (the abbot of the MBMC) about science and buddhism, but we haven't really had time to get deep into the topic.
