A book I read gave me the idea to give you an idea as to how you can use the Eightfold-Path as a means of daily self-examination. I request that you please suggest extra questions to add to the list. You can use these questions as a daily or weekly review. For starters a good idea would be to get a notebook and start jotting down notes on how you can improve on a particular aspect of the Eightfold-Path and use these questions I formulated to analyze your progress and see how you can improve yourself:

Right View
Did I act upon emotion or a clear and objective understanding of today's situations ?

Right Intention
Were my actions and speech motivated by a desire to help relieve others and myself from suffering ?

Right Speech
Was my speech calm and gentle or angry and aggressive ?
Did I use my faculty of speech to harm or insult others ?

Right Action
Did I behave abrasively and with contempt toward others or did I perform wholesome actions that resulted in the joy of another human-being ?

Right Livelihood
Do I earn my living through the sale of unwholesome intoxicants such as liquor ?
Do I earn my living through the slaughter of sentient-beings (e.g butcher)
Do I practice usury ?
From the viewpoint of the Buddha's ethics is my means of livelihood ethical ?

Right Effort
Did I meditate today ?
Did I make offerings to the Triple Gem ?

Right Mindfulness
What are the four-foundations of mindfulness ?
Do I focus on negative objects of mindfulness such as the portrayal of violent actions and lustful imagery ?

Right Concentration
How long did I meditate ?
Why do I meditate ?
