It occurred to me yesterday that I did not know the Thai word for englightenment, so I asked my GF and she did not properly understand (quite hard trying to explain it in Thai), so I got the dictionary out. This is what it is in English phonetics 'kwam-gem-ga-jang-nai-jai-bas-alow' haha, quite a mouthful don't you think.

I'll have two of those, please.

  • lol, sometimes in thai the words are really stupidly long, thai also does not have any caps in their words within text. I will post the word for enlightenment writen in thai below, I have never seen it myself before either.

การตรัสรู้ - not so long in Thai text, but when you come to say it is is really quite a mouthful.

Do you want me to add it to the list....? :D
  • lol, oh your list of many words federica? lol you can try, I still have not memorized it to be honest. I have been trying to deconstruct it, I know 'kwam' often relates to an idea, 'nai' means 'where' and 'jai' means the heart. The rest I have not come across before.
