Who knew dental hygienists made good money? I never would have guessed.

Yes, but I thought the point was to upset someone?

Teachers are always an easy target because they're not only spoilt and pampered, they're extremely sensitive too.

(This is all tongue-in-cheek; I know Vinlyn is/was a teacher; maybe my joke isn't very good?)

    I'll shut up!

But from the link it surprises me that a financial planner is there, with the current financial climate, I know one who is really struggling.

If dental hygienists make such good money, why don't we ever see male dental hygienists?
  • hmmm my aunt is a dental hygenist and I know she has made good money over her career. My daughter is thinking a dental career and since being a dentist is a looong education she may do hygenist first to get working

Aren't they cutting down on librarians? And for reading teachers, do you mean tutors?

^ No, I mean reading teachers such as in a middle school that might have 20-30 kids in a whole day. No papers to grade. In many modern school systems, even the evaluation of student reading levels is done via computer, thus requiring minimal work on the part of reading teachers.

Interesting. How does one pursue something like that? Lol.

This sounds like a good idea, Heerdt! Which daughter is this? Someone is actually showing a little ambition and planning for the future? This is good news.
