    You're right, but when previous chart-makers contradict each other it's reasonable to ask why.
    Yes, I agree. Sometimes the contradictions resolve themselves in practice, though.

    I'm pretty sure one can also try to read 'dry insight' in the suttas if one wants and convince oneself that it is in there.
    I think some would argue that the Satipatthana Sutta ( foundations of mindfulness ) describes the dry insight approach.
