kowtaaia quote

Only the continuity of thinking as the psychological phenomenon, considers itself to be something, whether 'Buddhist' or 'Republican' or anything else. There is no such thing as an enlightened Buddhist.

Brilliant.. And 'for me' its so true.

I believe that the more we try and have a 'practice', the more it becomes harder to achieve realization.
  • The psychological phenomenon is the continuity of thought and it might practice Buddhism, but it cannot realize truth, because truth is its absence.

Could you indicate a linked source, please, @Floating_Abu, rather than simply put a name?
    Many thanks.

kowtaaia is a friend, and a member of this forum.

Apologies if I should have put non-official source.
    Please correct as appropriate.

    Best wishes,

you forget 'dear zenmyste' aswell. Seen as I asked who this was first. You should have answered me. (Just because I'm not a moderator, you should have still acknowledged me)

    I forgive though! :-)
  • I don't need your forgiveness, @zenmyste, with thanks.

I didn't say you did need it.

But I still forgive you anyway!

    Be well, dear friend.
    You too.

(and no killing, even if your angry)

not that you would of course. i just feel i have to start remind you buddhists now.

because you all seem to think that being 'angry' is the same thing as KILLING someone.

    OK, if you say so!

Then perhaps Kowtaaia can let us have the source and origin, if indeed they are in turn, quotations he has taken....
We have all made wise statements and we have all made foolish ones also.
to isolate a member for special mention seems a little strange....

why do you find such material worthy of mention, as a curiosity?

Someone (kowtaaia) who thinks himself enlightened, thinks himself not Buddhist or any other category. What you lose in the peanuts, you make up in the popcorn.

    Dear federica

Because they strike me as true.

    Namaste.

    Come again?

I doubt kowtaaia thinks himself enlightened, he is pointing. That is all he has ever done.

    Best wishes,

  • It wasn't a quote; just a statement of the obvious. There's no point in responding to Richards silliness.
  • This is the strangest thread...
