Interesting encounter and cool picture.

I was at Walmart today and was met by a guy in a straw hat. I was there with my sister and he asked us for donations for an anti-animal cruelty campaign. In return, we got stickers. He noticed a bracelet my sister had on that apparently had some kind of Buddhist symbol on it (I didn't recognize it) and he asked her if she was a Buddhist. She said no, but I chirped in and said I was. He asked me what sect (I said I was still on the edge between Zen and Theravada) and he asked me if I heard of some guy... I forget his name... who is a Tibetan Buddhist. I said no. Anyways, he gave me a book about reincarnation. It had a really interesting picture on the front that I am very fond of. Here it is. Thoughts?

I think the guy in the red sarong is very "Freddy Mercury"....:D

The book is from a Hare Krishna follower... and their take on Kamma and reincarnation is quite different to that of Buddhism....

Yep, it's a hare krishna book, I've seen it several times. They're a money cult. Really cool picture though!

The Hare Krishna temple in town has a great inexpensive lunch buffet. ..and they don't proselytize.

A rather neat picture. Those folks ran a coffee shop back at OSU when I was a student and we had some great conversations. Lots of talented, intelligent people in that group.
