I used to be a bit of a geek in the past with an interest in Artificial Intelligence among other things. Feeling a bit nostalgic about it (maybe an effect of watching again "Electric Dreams" last night).

I just discovered something interesting, probably well known but not to me until now. In the 80s someone wrote a program called Racter that composed prose. There was a book with a collection of its writings that I just discovered. It is hilarious and even you might say beautiful. Here it is:

The Policeman's Beard Is Half-Constructed

Bill sings to Sarah. Sarah sings to Bill. Perhaps they
will do other dangerous things together. They may eat lamb or stroke
each other. They may chant of their difficulties and their
happiness. They have love but they also have typewriters.
