I've never bothered much with Tibetan Buddhism, but I came across this native New Yorker through my interest in Dzogchen. I'm reading his Awakening the Buddha Within and am really enjoying it. As well as Buddhist teachings, in this book he delves into his travels to the east and how he came to be a Lama etc. Just thought I'd share that. Very good book.

    He's a much-read author. I've read the full trilogy and it's a good read.

I like his books. I have both Awakening the Buddha Within and Awakening to the Sacred.
I also have this CD from him Chants to Awaken the Buddhist Heart, some may find it a bit poppy and I know he changed/modified some of the chants, but I still like it.
    All the best,
    Todd
