opiates natural via meditation?

This is a little embarassing (though no need I think for member only). I have been meditating all day the past todays and today.

I am constipated even though I eat a lot of tomatoes and dried fruit. I thought it might be due to natural opiates. I am also on clozaril. So do you think it is the meditation producing opiates?

The opiates are called endorphins and people can get them from spicy peppers or running as well.

see if you can do some twisting exercises to loosen the bowels, and while sitting, rub your abdomen quite firmly, applying medium pressure, in a circle; down on the left, across under the tummy, and up on the right, and across, under the diaphragm. a big circle, surrounding the whole abdomen.

    Yup.
The transport action of your intestines is aided by your own body movement.
Without sitting meditation being interspersed with walking meditation, there would be a lot of grumpy monks around.

Really up your fiber intake and drink lots of water. I don't know if endorphins will slow your gut but being sedentary will slow up your gut. Hard excercise, such as running, will release endorphins yet doesn't result in constipation. Benefiber is a good natural fiber supplement that may help.

It's frustrating. I tried to beat it the past 3 hours but still no luck. I'm always hoping each time I get 'up to bat'.

Yoga has helped me loosen up my stomach and everything else. There might be specific exercises for that?
