Question about Zen Pure Land??

So you are supposed to recite Amitabha Buddhas name many times. I am reading, "Buddhism of Wisdom and Faith." It talks about Zen Pure Land being specifically a practice of reciting Zen Pure Land unlimited times? Thus, that leads to Enlightenment?

I'll give you the straight answer.

Its only possible because everything is already enlighted or the pure land.

But whats required is full confidence in this fact.

Without such confidence the doubt will engulf one back to oridinary samsaric vision.

Which is still enlightenment. But what use is that?

Now the chances of this working depends entirely on the practioners condition and circumstance.

But if its going to work then practically anything will work to awaken such an individual.

But remember the basis is that this is the pure land and we fail to recognize it. Thus there is the path and practice towards what is.

From my reading I gather that Zen Pure Land is not only popular but simplistic in the sense that it helps an individual awaken. But you are absolutely right, as an the individual practicing this or any other practice, needs to believe and understand what he or she is doing.
