So as some of you may/may not know, I went on a 3-week trip to SE Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand) with my gf, and I've recently returned back home. Of course, I had to get sick and have a fever for the week I got back, but the experience I had there was worth it!

It's totally amazing to see the different types of Buddhist architecture, art, and practice amongst the Chinese in Singapore/Malaysia vs. Thailand. Being in Bangkok and getting to see the Emerald Buddha, the Golden Buddha, and the great Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho were incredible, almost religious experiences for me.

Didn't get to do anything vipassana-related like I was hoping (gf was too sick) but I feel like I learned to appreciate everything a lot more. Especially bathrooms. :p

Anyways, just wanted to let y'all know that I'm back to procrast-- posting on NB. :)
