Meditation question

I find my mind trailing off during meditation. My thoughts are often very insightful. Is this good or bad?

The insights gained in meditation aren't really "of thought", they're an entire change or shift in view. If you find yourself wandering off, just recognize that and go back to your meditation. If there is insight, it's not something that needs thought about... it's just there from that point on. Part of what you are, how the mind is.

If it's real insight, the benefit from continuing to meditate would be more than just thinking about the insight. The arising and passing phenomena would be seen in a clearer way and could lead to further insights. Again it's not about thinking, it's about change-of-view... how the mind perceives phenomena. Just let it happen.
