Looking for a teacher

edited July 2012 in Buddhism Basics
Hi i kind of live in the country and there is no Buddhist centre near me, So i am looking for someone who is able to teach me about Buddhism "I'm interested in Vajrayana and tantric teachings" I have read allot about Buddhism but you can only learn so much without a teacher.

Thanks

When it becomes important enough for you, a pilgrimage to a teacher will prove it. Skype has shrunk the distance between many teachers and students but some face to face is still a requirement.

Sorry to break it to you.

Vajrayana begins with a teacher/guru. It begins with transmission and face to face interaction with a teacher.

I would be very careful with online instructors who teach Vajrayana. Frankly I'd be careful of any teacher that teaches Vajrayana.

Find your heart guru, you'll know when you meet them.

Until then try your best. There are other yanas worth practicing under in the meantime.
