  • I think it's fairly easy to make up good false Buddha quotes - because we're all Buddhas, though realised to varying degrees at various times.

    Actually is not posible to know if any quotes attributed to the Buddha (in canon or out of this) is false or not.

    Some Internet quotes maybe are not from the Buddha but are very reminiscent to the Dharma.

    Anyway is good to know more from where this quotes really came from.

  • For me the important point is who actually says what, where and when is not as important as what can be understood. Of course, correct quoting and giving refrerences is important ( especially in online informal discussion - lol ).
