Weatherproofing leather boots?

Does anyone have any idea how to weatherproof leather boots without affecting the way they look?

I just got a pair and I have no idea how to take care of them properly and google isn't helping me.

They're just fashion boots, they're not a work boot or a hiking boot so making sure that their look isn't altered is super important.

Thanks :)

    'a thing'....?

I was going to ask if they were suede or special finish... but if you have 'a thing', then don't worry!! :D
  • yeah they have a thing. They have a weatherproofing spray and even a cleansing lotion for if you want to get fancy.

    Mink oil or Bear grease.
  • Bread bag over each foot before you put your boots on...
