I have a friend who is looking for a well-structured distance learning course in computing for novices (something like CLAIT). Does anyone know a good course/site?

"Sites" are kind of tough because, IMHO, you never really have the "one on one" that is sometimes required for teaching.

If you're going to basically be learning from a book - go find a good book to learn from.

I don't have any ideas on sites a person could go to - but if it's going to deal with anything "in depth or very technical" - make sure they can at least email someone for clarification.
