I was looking at phoitos from our trip to Korea in November 2004 and found these pictures. I think the architecture is amazing.

...

Gyeongbokgung (Gyeongbok Palace) is a palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. It was the main and largest palace of the Joseon Dynasty and one of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty.

Wow!! Magwang, these pictures are incredible!! I've been studying them for 20 minutes now and I still can't get enough. I'm with Sabine, those colours are truly awesome and the ones in the second to last pic look almost fluorescent!

I love the screens and the roofs, too. They're so cool. It looks so rich but peaceful inside.

The first pic looks familiar...was it in a movie? A movie like "Hero" or some other fancy martial arts movie?

Anyway, gorgeous, Magwang! Thanks so much for posting them. I could look at people's travel pictures for hours and hours.

Out of respect, I did refrain from taking pictures at Jogyesa temple in the center of Seoul.

Jogyesa is the chief temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It thus plays a leading role in the current state of Seon (Zen) Buddhism in South Korea. The temple was first established in 1395, at the dawn of the Joseon Dynasty.
