What does it mean when someone's post is shaded yellow?

    It looks to me that it happens when they have received a number of 'commendations' (LOL, Insightful, Awesome).

    If a moderator "promotes" a post as especially poignant or valuable, it will be slightly highlighted in yellow. Only moderators have the ability to promote posts.
