Yes, I know there is a recommended reading thread but not a now reading thread that I could find. What books are you currently reading? Whether it be a book on buddhism or something else...

I am reading a couple right now...

The Art Of Happiness At Work - By the HH Dalai Lama
One Dharma - By Joseph Goldstein

Well.....I WAS reading 'Cave in the Snow', but had only managed a couple of pages...then I had to take it back to the library, and intended to renew it - only to find someone had booked it for their use, on its return, so I had to give it in!

Patience, patience...If she endured 12 years alone on a mountain, maybe I can wait a couple of weeks.....!!

I just finished Bring Me the Rhinocerous and other Koans to Bring You Joy by Roshi John Tarrant. I would definitely recommend it for those interested in Koans, or Zen for that matter. A very enjoyable & enlightening read. I also finished the Lord of the Rings trilogy not too long ago.

I haven't got really far in the "One Dharma" book, what do you think so far?

I have just finished reading The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde, a wonderfully funny book. I have to get reading The Harbor by Lorraine Adams, for book group. I am, however, tempted by Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys which awaits me on my 'unread' shelf.

BF. I read the whole 'Dune' saga, from start to finish, all the way from The Butlerian Jihad to Chapter House Dune, a year or two ago. I have just ordered the latest, Hunters of Dune. Long may the saga continue. It may be patchy, it may be tedious in places but it certainly is fun!

A bit wordy at times, but it's a necessary evil to endure.
I don't know if your a skimmer but,
I'm up to pg 161 with some juicy classical Theravada
    --Chapter Nirvana-Section The Five Aggregates

I don't want to infringe on copyrights, so, what I would say is checkout the last chapter on page 160- 161 upto Stages of Purification. Gives a perfect example why I don't travel down the rebirth discussion without taking a stab at the very concept itself.

After reading "The Path of the Human Being", by Dennis Merzel
I stopped carring reading literature into situations in which there is a possibility of interacting with others.

I hope this finds You well.

Great, I'll keep reading through it then. I have just been reading "The Art Of Happiness At Work" a bit more. Needed some advice about work conditions that this book really seems to hit on. Thanks for the response, I'm not a skimmer so I'll wait till I get to the areas you recommended.
