I've been rather found of this one at another forum.

(BTW it's a picture of a star's radio emissions.)
But, BF's "squirel" made the biggest mental impression on me we have droves of squires, many are outright dastardly.

To me that image is indeed a radioheliograph (radio picture of the sun-perhaps even an ultraviolet light image) showing solar magnetic fields with some artistic license applied to it- with respect to the violet "shafts of energy in the east-west direction".
but then again, what would I know.
