Are you supposed to count 108 as 100? So if you do 432 mantras you are supposed to count it as 400?

    Some say yes - a 108-bead mala is counted as 100 repetitions for your practice and 8 for sentient beings.

    And so on.

    Some say that 108 is 108 and by dedication, the merit for the entire rosary is for sentient beings.

    And so on.

    Regardless of how you count, you should always dedicate the merit of your practice.

    I just count up to five. First precept, second precept, third precept, fourth precept and fifth precept. Could not manage more than that.
