letting go is something we should all practice everyday with anything that we enjoy. Its so stressful to enjoy little things because I have to carry the weight of that enjoyment with me because I associate it with myself and let it define my happiness. If I could just realize everytime that the enjoyable things are behind me and do not at all influence the present moment than I can finally achieve presence more often. Thoughts will not help you in this practice, thinking "this is behind me" will do you absolutely nothing because you have to truly experience the feeling of realization. If you dont udnerstand the feeling of realization- the difference between thinking and realization can be compared to the difference between just memorizing and truly understanding.
