Can anybody help with me in regarding how to deal with desire in life, I am talking about strong sensual desires that seem to be deep routed and that have been for a long time. I have read through a few books I have, through some passages that most would deem to be somewhat relevant, but they have only helped a little. I have never been a keen reader of the suttras for some reason, are there any really decent hitting home ones that come to mind there?

Oscar Wilde had some good advice (I suspect he was a Bodhisatva):

"The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it."

A tantric practice maybe?

Some people yearn for the opposite. That's why people invented Viagra and Spanish Fly. Count your blessing you don't have to pay a fortune for those things.
