Regarding spammers on the site lately...

I have turned on the option to moderate all new users to the site before they are allowed to post. This means that I get an email every time someone registers on the site, and I have to approve their account before they can post.
This should really help cut down the spambots. Most of the spambots have very easily identifiable email address like "paypalgold@mail.ru" or "pharmacyxx1231@pharminfo.biz". You can pretty much tell which accounts are bad news just by looking at their name and/or email accounts.
The other indicator is that the spambots never change their timezone - so all spambots use the GMT+12 timezone.
Either way, this should help. Hopefully we won't have to log on to our site and see porno pics or links to viagra anymore.
