Does anybody know if it is readable online somewhere?

Or what nikaya it belongs to?

Is it the same as the Hetu sutta?

This is the one I am looking for.

1. Pubba (or Hetu) Sutta. The Buddha tells the monks of how, even before the Enlightenment, he cultivated the four iddhipadas, and of how their development brought various attainments, such as clairvoyance, etc. S.v.263 ff.

Ah, never mind. The one your looking for (pubba = before/hetu = cause) is on pg. 1726 in the second volume of Bhikkhu Bodhi's translation of the Samyutta Nikaya. If you don't have a copy, I can type it out later when I get home from work.
