I am only vaguely aware of Goenka, but I think doing a 10 day vipassana retreat sounds very good. From what little I do know about Goenka, he seems to be well respected.
From what I've read, Goenka teaches the full body scan form of meditation. I've tried it and it's an effective technique. I do anapanasati most of the time, though.
