(*Who's sentient?)
i'm not even sure we ARE SENTIENT beings...
what is the proof we are sentient? we feel? taste, smell, see, hear? no that's not it, there are non sentient things that do those.. it must be "experiencing" that makes us so called sentient beings...or consciousness...
but that can just be u know illusions...
do we really experience things? i dunno, i think we just remember things...after all we never can experience any present moment, by the time our brain registers anything at all at least a nano second has passed..
like when u look at things you are looking into the past all the time...time has elapsed since the light has travelled into ur eye..and brain..
and consciousness!!! I dunno........ If i don't have a self, that means all consciousness is , is a mirror reflecting- a mirror -reflecting a mirror..etc
we aren't even matter when u break it down......let alone sentient...

im also starting to think that im not not-seperate too.. this is interesting..
The Tao is my teacher, and half of me meditates eternal.
(No really, my only teachers are my brothers and sister on this forum, the internet and my own mind, and I do meditate almost every night)
Ask that. In the grand sceme of things why is that important?. Imagine it isnt.
You don't think this the self screaming loud and clear?
if you can't see what your question is driven by then you don't know yourself as well as you should.
But thats ok.
It's just that you seem to be in a hurry, and working with a teacher face to face would be one of the fastest ways to progress.
The body breathes.
'Self' does not breathe.
However, check this out for yourself. Please don't listen to me.
What breathes?
I've found recently that I feel physically bad a lot, but upon trying yoga and (oddly) full on formal sitting (legs all knotted up) When my body gets relief, my mind does too. In such a way that my phobias turn to very little consequence.
Like they are one and the same...
emptiness plus desire for excitement, food for growth, fresh air and space?
seems to fit animal life...
