Having time problems

Love the site! Simple, beautiful...just right. Only one little itsy bitsy thing. I have set my time to GMT (eg London) and yet the time quoted on my threads and replies etc seems to be out. I know meditation can bend time but...For example it is now precisely 4.40 pm here in Yorkshire UK as i post this thread.

    And 4.40 (16:40) is precisely what I get for your post, Blueface. But, of course, it is all nonsense, perpetrated by the railway authorities to simplify their timetables. As recently as the reign of George V, the clocks at Sandringham were some minutes adrift from London time. I've always thought it interesting that noon here by the clock is not noon by the sun.

    Perhaps you have forgotten to set Summer Time - won't matter soon enough, alas!

    I suppose it doesn't matter too much. Actually on a work PC, technologically challenged at home. My desk lamp doubles as a grill. No fancy computer for me. I notice we're still up here in the Uk - some of our American cousins are probably all tucked in bed up by now.:doh:

    Is "Automatically detect DST" directly under you timezone? Having it set manually could cause that problem.
