Zen and the Art of Doing Time
I was excited to see
this article on CNN today. I think the spread of Buddhism through the prison system is a wonderful thing and I wish these men and their teachers the best.

If this topic is of interest to you, take a look at the Prison Dharma Network. They aim to spread the dhamma in prisons and teach inmates peace through meditation.
There is also a movie about this called The Dhamma Brothers.

I enjoyed the film, but I felt that the interviews with “locals” who disapproved of the meditation program were unnecessary. There is also a film called Doing Time, Doing Vipassana that focuses on meditation groups in a notorious Indian prison.
