Buddhist imagery… on The Jay Leno Show?

Our friend and Buddhist world-news blogger Danny Fisher sends us this one, writing:
“My friend Kerry Brown, a Buddhologist, brought my attention to what appears to be a double vajra motif on Jay Leno’s new set. Are we seeing things?”

It sure looks like a double-vajra:

But I doubt that it actually is. Maybe I’m just too skeptical. [Update: now I'm really just doubting my doubt. The resemblance is uncanny.]

    I could be, but I doubt that Mr. Leno or the set designers would have any idea about it apart from "ooh, that looks nice, let's use that".

    Wow, they DO look like vajras. Intentional or not it's sorta amusing ;)
