During the course of this week, the ceremonial Zulu "warriors" in Kwa-Zulu (South Africa) will kill a bull with their bare hands. This is a ritual to transfer "power" to the ceremonial Zulu King so he will be protected from mishaps.
In the ritual, 20 to 40 young men push the bull onto the ground, stab its eyes, pull out its tongue, twist its genitals and then beat it to death,....

Animal rights groups have taken the matter to Court but a ruling is yet to be made. There are lots of other web pages updating this matter.

What else is there to say?
the suffering of the animal and the horrible karma that is being accumulated by the men who are torturing it is terrible. the fact that the men think it is virtuous to act in such a way is disturbing. The bull will die a horrible death but the karmic repercussions of the actions of the men will no doubt lead to even greater suffering.
cruelty begets cruelty, its an ugly situation from all angles.
