Mahayana entering nirvana

I have heard of Mahayana or possibly Vajrayana buddhists entering nirvana. How is this so? Don't Mahayana buddhists wait till their samasambuddhas or w/e?

"entering nirvana" are confusing words. Where is niravna and how does something/someone enters a "where"? Then again, what is Nirvana?
Whether Mahayanan, Vajrayana or Hinayana - all can "enter".

When a great lama dies, sometimes it's said that he's entered parinirvana, but this is just a polite way of speaking.

Nope vajrayana is known as the quick path to enlightenment because following this path enables us to accomplish enlightenment in one liftime.
In vajrayana the practise is bring the results of being a buddha in to the path of practise, it is very efficent very profound and requires a good teacher.

Actually an early start is as good as anything as you simply cant say for sure how long a life you shall have. :o

To be polite is a virtue indeed. But sometimes virtue confuses our learning the proper ideas. :smilec:

And where is "nirvana?" It's nowhere other than right here. So there's nowhere to enter.
