Buddhism has made me happier
but i'm still a hungry ghost..who is afraid to die..and I haven't unraveled the mysteries of the universe...
how does it feel to be dead, or without life..?
do we vanish ? how does rebirth work specifically, is there a transmigration of any kind..?
what else is in my head...? what is my mind, or the mind I'm created in?
when (my) mind is at it's clearest what will (I)/ it see..?
what mechanism does Karma use? and can it be explained..
I don't see how a serial killer and a saint, both when they die, will go in different directions because of their deeds...
Where is our gotama buddha now? dust particles? spread across the earth in trillions of atoms? in some far away world? heaven?
what is "un-distracted awareness" and how will I know?
is nirvana rememberable?
mostly all of the questions I had six or seven years ago when I started to learn about Buddhism, I still have but I can articulate them better, lol..
now I'm going to try to answer my own questions...

Life + Death:
you are oneness, when you die, the oneness changes into a different blend of oneness.
Karma:
if you mess up the oneness, ...you are messing up yourself/environment, when you are reborn you will have to suffer what the 'other(s)' messed up...because it's all shared...
Mind:
the mind is a construct of oneness...the eyes of oneness...
the mind is easily fooled to forget oneness...thus samsara...
perhaps everything is mind... the mind must be special though, because it couldn't have just "evolved", since there is beginning-less time..
Samadhi:
Don't think, be naturally the eyes of oneness..that's undistracted awarness
Where is Buddha? :
behind you. (heheh, everywhere ((oneness)) )
Maybe there is nothing to "get"?
Life may be short and single and thus much more valuable than if its one of countless rebirths:)
Objects are impermanent, composed of parts (which the parts are not the object), and merely labeled. A chair is just a chair conventionally ie merely labeled. It is composed of wood, screws, atoms, metal. Sawdust and not what we mean by a chair.
The found just see what is around you. Let the threads of confusion be. Let them unwind and just try to open to the confusion and let it rest in your awareness. Spontaneously without any effort on your part your mind is already luminous. Its not a matter of seeing the correct theory. Its a matter of letting go of the confusion and seeing what is. Its a matter of getting more simple rather than more complex.
We won't get it through conceptual reasoning, but we will "realize" it through insight meditation. How long will it take? I don't know....
Thanks Sooo Much
You folks are great!!
:):)
Is there an "I" to be found?
Nios
Actually, this looks like fun. I think I'll have a go.
1. I gave up being afraid of death when I realized EVERYTHING dies. My parents, Me, My kids, my Pets, the world, the Solar system, the Universe, it's all going to end, it's just a matter of when. Nothing lasts. Hanging on to it all just causes unnecessary stress (or suffering, if you like).
2. Nobody knows what it's like to be dead, but I'm guessing it doesn't hurt!
3. Again, nobody KNOWS. There are lots of theories & beliefs, but no facts.
4. What's in your head? That pink mush called a brain. What's thinking your thoughts? Well, how long have you got.........
5. Again, lots of theories & beliefs about Karma, but facts? Maybe not.
6. I like this question. I guess the Buddha's material form is spread across the earth in trillions of atoms.
7. "un-distracted awareness" will be ours when we stop all this questioning & just SEE
Don't get too serious, they're are just my views. Each to his own, as they say.....:)
