I really enjoy much of his work, but have a special fondness for 'The Verdict'. For me, that movie reaffirmed, to me anyway, that he wasn't a 'has been'; the start of a second wind to his acting career.

    Cool Hand Luke - definitely.
Cat on a Hot Tin Roof - priceless
    Butch Cassidy etc etc... masterful
The Sting - Comic genius and so talented....

He was sooooo gorgeous...... and so faithful!

he truly is as good-looking here, as he was, here.

He did so much for charity, and you know what - his salad dressings are actually quite delicious!

Definitely one of the 'good Guys'.....!

Paul Newman has always been one of my most favorite actors.

    My top three

-Cool Hand luke (I wore a bottle opener necklace for several years due to this movie)
-Butch Cassidy and Sundance (an interesting tidbit, my grandma's mom was one of Butch's illegitimate kids).
    -The Sting

I liked him in Butch Cassidy but I didn't love the movie. It had a very generic feel for me.

One scene I think is outright absurd is the bycicle ride.

The best line of the movie..."Who is that guy" during the chase scene

I love the end of Sometime a Great Notion where he puts the arm up. LOL

That movie, saw it as a kid, where his brother is trapped under a log, underwater, face up, and he just keeps giving him mouth to mouth air. Then, they look at each other and laugh, and his brother drowns. It was so upsetting. That scene has never left me.

He and his wife were married 50 years. In today's math that is like 200 years.
